A test for Degenerative myelopathy is available for $65.00 or
free if certain criteria are met. Although our health
survey data does not reflect a large number of Great Pyrenees
affected with DM, the health problem does appear to have a
higher than reported incidence.
The FDA has launched a new public database of animal drug
approvals. This site allows users to search for detailed
descriptions of all FDA-approved new animal drugs. As we are all acutely aware, information about a
medication and potential side effects to anticipate, are vital
to the overall appropriate treatment of our dogs health issues.
